Why this spot

1862-1902 ranching and supply town

A Shoal Creek ranching settlement from 1862 with a fort built in 1866, it became a supply town for Pioche and Silver Reef with a hotel and school. Already declining as people moved to Enterprise, it was mostly destroyed by an earthquake in 1902 and sold its last water rights in 1904.View source →
