Why this spot

1912-1950s homestead-era railroad town

Depot town on the Soo Line branch line where about 40 buildings went up at once around 1912, including a bank, two general stores, a hardware store, a theater and two saloons. Poor farmland, fires and pests emptied it from the 1920s, and the post office closed in 1957.View source →
