Where: Wyoming · approx. 44.38, -108.04 (vicinity only)
Why this spot: 1910s+ Sanborn-mapped town on Bighorn River
What turns up: Refuse behind the early Big Horn Avenue and courthouse-square blocks, freighting and rail-siding debris, and dumps along the Bighorn River flats west of town; embossed drug-store and soda bottles and early-1900s household glass.
Access: Gray area.
Townsite lots are private and need the owner's permission; the Bighorn River bed below the ordinary high-water mark is state-owned public-trust ground with restrictions on removing historic artifacts, and nearby BLM parcels fall under the Archaeological Resources Protection Act barring disturbance of sites over 100 years old without a permit.
