Why this spot

1906-1917 Death Valley gold boomtown

Boomtown built on the Skidoo Mine, which produced about 75,000 ounces of gold between 1906 and 1917 using the only almost fully water-powered mill in the desert, fed by a pipeline from near Telescope Peak. The post office closed with the mine in 1917.View source →
