Why this spot

1885-1920s railroad and sawmill hamlet

Settled along a railroad extension, Sisco got a post office in 1885 and for about forty years held 60 to 150 people with a hotel, general store and steam sawmill. A steamboat stop on Dunns Creek handled citrus cargo, and the town was mostly abandoned after the Great Freeze.View source →
