Why this spot

1860s-1928 silver mine and mill town

Site of one of Colorado's first silver discoveries in 1863 or 1864, where the Boston Silver Mining Company built a mill in 1867 and the town grew to be Summit County's largest incorporated town in 1870. It followed the mine, which closed in 1928, and most residents moved to Montezuma.View source →
