Why this spot

1876-1930s placer camp, mill and railroad junction

Placer camp founded in 1876 as Sitting Bull, renamed Mystic in 1889, that drew two railroads, an experimental electrochlorination mill and the first electric gold dredge in the Black Hills. Floods and fires wore it down, and the Frink sawmill that replaced mining burned in 1936.View source →
