Why this spot

1909-1924 promoted orchard colony

A heavily promoted orchard project on Utah Lake's southwest shore where by 1912 8,000 acres were plowed, 50,000 fruit trees planted and a 25-room hotel built for investors. Water and power failed, the population fell to 67 by 1920 and the last resident left in 1924.View source →
