Why this spot

1907-1938 coal company town

Emery County's largest coal town, laid out in 1907 and run by U.S. Fuel from 1915, with over 200 houses, a hospital, school and about 1,000 people by 1920. After a sudden 1925 shutdown and 1926 reopening, it was closed for good in 1938 and its buildings sold for salvage.View source →
