Why this spot

1876-1886 silver boomtown

Founded around the 1876 Stonewall Jackson silver discovery, it reached about 1,000 people with adobe saloons, dance halls and a 20-stamp mill by 1880. An Apache attack in 1882 hurt the town and it was a ghost town by 1886.View source →
