Why this spot

about 1890s-1920s company mining town

A company town of the Allegheny Ore and Iron Company, later part of Lukens Steel, with a company store, churches, school, post office and a theater on its main street. The company left in the 1920s when ore demand fell, though some people stayed in the houses until the 1950s.View source →
