Why this spot
1905-1950s railroad helper and mining town
Railroad water and helper station on the Los Angeles to Salt Lake line, with a 1923 mission-style depot and restaurant. It boomed to as many as 2,000 people in the 1940s when nearby borax and iron mines opened, then shrank when the mines closed.View source →
