1863-1914 silver camp, first Nye County seat
Silver camp and milling center in the Shoshone Range that served as the first county seat of Nye County until Belmont took it in 1867. It revived with a new mill in 1896 and a cinnabar boom in 1912 to 1914, and had 40 people by 1940.View source →
