Why this spot
1909-1960s railroad junction village
Crossroads village where the Western Pacific and Southern Pacific lines met in Honey Lake Valley, with a post office, school and a peak of a few hundred railroad workers in the 1920s. With no good well water it dwindled, the station closed in 1959, the store burned in 1969 and a 1985 wildfire destroyed the last structures.View source →
