Why this spot

1880s-1907 mining supply town

Settled around 1880 and boosted by the 1888 Miners Basin gold rush, it had a store, hotel and two saloons and briefly rivaled Moab. The Panic of 1907 shut the mines; only 50 people were left in 1910 and the county vacated the town in 1967.View source →
