Why this spot
1814-1850s mill and distillery village
Village begun in 1814 when George Wallace built a sawmill at Brandywine Falls, later adding a whiskey distillery, gristmill, woolen mill and a dozen houses. The Ohio and Erie Canal and then railroads drew trade to Akron and Cleveland and the village faded.View source →
