Why this spot

1905-1960 logging railroad terminus

Logging town founded in 1905 at the end of the Salem, Falls City and Western Railway, with stores, two saloons, bunkhouses and a depot and an estimated 600 to 1,500 people at its height. Timber ran low after 1913; the post office closed in 1943 and the railroad was abandoned in 1960.View source →
