Why this spot

1840s-1860s Mexican-era river colony

Founded by New Mexican colonists on the west bank of the Santa Ana River, Agua Mansa was once the largest settlement in San Bernardino County and, with La Placita across the river, among the first non-native settlements in the valley. Floods ruined the farms and the town never recovered, leaving only its cemetery.View source →
