pre-crofting township cleared 1853
Township of 22 households and about 120 people in 1851 on Loch Eishort, cleared by Lord MacDonald's agents for sheep in 1853. Many families emigrated with the Highland and Island Emigration Society; the last residents left in 1877.View source →
