ROCKHOUNDING PERMISSION REQUIRED DOCUMENTED

Where: Southeast Asia · Asia · approx. 17.11, 120.9 (vicinity only)

Why this spot: Rockhounding locality: traditional Igorot small-scale gold mining, first Minahang Bayan in Mountain Province

What turns up: observed placer panning and sluicing, gold dust in local trade, quartz vein material

Mining rights belong to Pidlisan and Tanulong tribe members under a Minahang Bayan contract (RA 7076); outsiders may not mine, but the village sits on the guided Bomod-ok Falls trail and visits with a registered Sagada guide are routine, ask the barangay about watching panning
